“What a pleasure to be working with Thomas Johnston and his team on this funny and insightful film directed at the ’30-somethings’ who are now the ’50-somethings,’” said Screen Media prexy Suzanne Blech.
“We have seen firsthand just how well this film plays to its target audience and we are excited to be working with Suzanne Blech and the team at Screen Media,” said exec producer Melanie Becker. “We feel this is the perfect company to get the film to its audience.”

It looks like NBC has placed Awake on the schedule for mid-season. Here’s a video preview with a shot sighting of Michaela!
‘AWAKE’ — “Awake” is an intriguing drama about a detective (Jason Issacs, “Harry Potter,” “Brotherhood”) who finds he is leading an arduous double life that defies reality. When Detective Michael Britten (Issacs) regains consciousness following his family’s car accident, he is told that his wife Hannah (Laura Allen, “Terriers”) perished but that his teen son, Rex (Dylan Minnette, “Saving Grace”), has survived. As he tries to put the pieces of his life back together, he awakens again in a parallel reality in which his wife is very much alive — but his son Rex died in the accident. In order to keep both of his loved ones alive at one time, he begins living two dueling realities in parallel worlds, which churns up confusion — in one moment, Michael and his wife debate about having another child to replace their son, while in the other reality, he is attracted to his son’s tennis coach, Tara (Michaela McManus, “The Vampire Diaries”), to fill the void from the loss of his wife. Trying to regain some normalcy, Michael returns to police work and solves crimes in both worlds with the help of two different partners — Detective Isaiah “Bird” Freeman (Steve Harris, “The Practice”) and Detective Efrem Vega (Wilmer Valderrama, “That ’70s Show”). Also starring are Emmy Award winner Cherry Jones (“24”) and BD Wong (NBC’s “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”) as therapists in each respective world. The series is produced by 20th Century Fox Television. Kyle Killen (“Lone Star”) and Howard Gordon (“24”) are executive producers. David Slade (“Twilight: Eclipse,” “30 Days of Night”) also serves as executive producer and directed the pilot written by Killen.
NBC just kicked off its second day of pickups with orders to Kyle Killen’s Inception-style Awake (form. REM) and Chad Hodge’s 1960s The Playboy Club. Both hail from 20th Century Fox TV and have been widely expected to get the nod. NBC seems to be going studio by studio, starting off with UMS’ Whitney, Up All Night, Prime Suspect and Smash yesterday, now adding 20th TV’s Awake and Playboy. NBC also just picked up another UMS pilot, the fairytale-themed Grimm, which didn’t make the cut yesterday but remained in contention.

I have no idea how I missed this!
The Vampire Diaries’ next full moon promises to be a big one, and TVLine has learned that Michaela McManus’ Jules won’t be missing out on all the fun.
Sources close to VD confirm to TVLine exclusively that Tyler’s (Michael Trevino) werewolf pal will resurface in Mystic Falls at some point before the end of the season. No word on how long she’ll stick around this time, but we’re told Jules’ reappearance will coincide with the town’s next full moon.
Last we saw Jules, she was leaving Mystic Falls with Tyler under the guise of helping him learning the ins and outs of his wolfy powers. And since Trevino confirmed at last weekend’s C2E2 event in Chicago that he was finally back on the show’s Atlanta set after a lengthy hiatus — and shooting night scenes, to boot! — it’s safe to assume the two will make their way home together.
Happy Jules — hopefully minus her wolf pack — is headed back to Mystic Falls? Hit the comments! Don’t miss The Vampire Diaries‘ return Thursday, April 7 at 8/7c
