NBC’s Charles Manson drama is fleshing out its cast.
David Duchovny to Star in Charles Manson Drama at NBC
Awake alum Michaela McManus, Justified’s David Meunier and The Last Ship’s Chris Sheffield have boarded the series starring David Duchovny, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The 13-episode drama Aquarius, created by John McNamara (In Plain Sight), is set in the 1960s and stars Duchovny as Sam Hodiak, a Los Angeles police sergeant investigating a then-unknown Charles Manson. McNamara exec produces alongside Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Alexandra Cunningham, Jonas Pate, Melanie Greene and Duchovny, with Pate on board to direct.

TNT has unveiled the first details of their summer schedule.
The cabler, which is home to such hit summer series as Major Crimes, Franklin & Bash and Rizzoli & Isles, has announced that new drama The Last Ship will premiere on Sunday June 22nd at 9/8c, followed straight behind by the fourth season of Falling Skies in the 10pm slot. Meanwhile, Howard Gordon’s new series Legends will debut on Wednesday August 20th at 9/8c. The premiere dates for the remainder of TNT’s summer schedule – including the back half of Dallas season 3, Franklin & Bash, Major Crimes, Rizzoli & Isles, Perception and Steven Bochco’s Murder In The First – will be announced at a later date.
